Everything gets created twice; first in our mind and then it can be built physically. There can be a big disconnect when the dream is in your mind, but it is built by someone else. That is why we think you should walk through your idea virtually before anything gets built. You can gain a better perspective of what you think you want and what it looks like finished. As your builder this is also how we prove that we have captured your vision, before one tool has been touched. We live and breath in 3D, we think we should plan in 3D too.

As romantic as real fireplaces can be, our air here is difficult enough between winter inversions and summertime fires. These mammoth hearth's do not have the same value they did when homes required heaters of this size. It was when we renovated our outdated fireplaces (upstairs and downstairs), that we realized what an important service this is to offer. Whether you want to trade for a gas-powered unit, or turn the space into a built-in shelf or custom fish-tank, we are fired up to help you reclaim this part of your home.

Does dinner take 20 minutes longer than it should because you do 12 laps to get to everything you need? Does your Fitbit read "2 miles were walked" after dinner is ready? Two parts of every home should be organized for productivity and mental well-being, your kitchen and garage. Both usually require a remodel to make sure your capacity at meal time compliments the necessary steps to complete your food prep. We will help you structure your kitchen so your missions are a breeze instead of botch. 

The one room in our home, that we cannot close the door on when guests arrive is the bathroom. We can shut away any mess, but this one. Do you have a gallon of paint that has been sitting on the floor for a month? With paint sticks at the ready, but not one has been ready? Do you have wall décor littering your counters because you swore you would hang them up this weekend? How about adding a sink, so more than one person can be productive at the same time? Or is it time, for new everything? We think bathrooms when done right, can be the mini oasis islands where your troubles wait by the door. 

Homes have more needs than most homeowners realize. When things break, there is a good chance it could have been prevented with proper maintenance and inspections. We will help create a customized Operations and Maintenance Manual for your home with a schedule, so you are alerted when it is time for every action whether it is for your hot water heater, furnace, sprinkler system, refrigerator, air conditioner, and so on. We will help make sure that everything required for a well-run home is schedule a year out, leaving more time for proactive activities, instead of responding to chaos and emergencies. 

We know the garage you dream of. It is as American as apple pie and baseball. To walk in, go right for the tool you need, and actually find it there. Maybe it is a tool that has supplies too. Like your nail gun and brads. Not to worry, they are in the same place. Your compressor and attachments are so well placed you can air up a tire in less than two minutes. We can install pegboard, gridwall, or slatwall. We can put in more electrical plugs so you do not need to run extension cords in five places. A quick interview will help us determine your top goals, and we will get to work. Pretty soon your apple pie and baseball will be in 2nd and 3rd place.  

Nothing takes the fun out of buying something new, like the long hours it takes to put it together. Manufacturers have been able to reduce the price of their goods by passing the assembly off on us. Unfortunately most of them did not spend enough time and money on creating the instructions. This laborious process can keep your newly purchased goods in their boxes much too long. How long does it take you to put your DIY projects together? 1 week? 2 weeks? Next Christmas? We know it is not rocket science, but it does take time. We have the time and manpower  to assemble your pile and get you back to "I have a new toy" feeling you deserve after a purchase.

Getting creative with electrical is tricky in older homes. We anticipate dealing with one or more of these common issues: no ground, double-tapped breakers, breaker tripping from modern appliances, outdated wiring from historical high copper prices, electrical panels from the seventies with low safety conditions, single pole switches where you want a ceiling fan, central air added after the fact, dropping ceilings to 8 feet tall, or three-part plaster instead of drywall to cut into. Regardless what we find, we will find a way.  We like to tackle the impossible jobs and get creative with you to achieve the end result you want.

Summertime means no school, sleeping in, slumber parties, and hypothermia. Well, hopefully it does not go to that extreme, but the water that comes out of our hose is freezing as told by the blue lips on our kids while they swim in the kiddie pool we just set up for them.  We have a solution, and we can have it finished usually within one day. We can have hot, warm, or cold water outside to wash your car without your hands turning into ice blocks, set up fun water activities for your kids and not have them be popsicles when they are done, or wash your dogs outside so your bathroom does not need a 2-hour deep clean afterwards. We can even work around water softeners.
